New mb Msi MPG Z390 pro carbon paired with 2x8GB Corsair Vengeance 3000MHz CL 15 RAM. On my Ryzen MB I managed to run them smoothly at those clock speeds (18-19-19-39-1), but it didn’t boot properly. Should I stick to the lower setting with CL 15?

We've experienced significantly fewer problems with X570 boards compared to Z390 and Z490 so far

Check your CPU settings for an even number in the MHz range you mentioned. The value you provided (4.800,4900,5000) seems like a misinterpretation—likely a frequency or clock reference. It may relate to the CPU's operating clock or bus speed, but not directly to the OC. Look into the CPU's OC settings or BIOS options for stable multiplier values.

Absolutely, it seems like the problem is with the mainboard. Those Asus Maximus Hero look pretty good, right? Would you like to swap out the board?

To change the board after disabling XMP, you'd adjust the settings to match the stock configuration. After setting it to 3300 MHz with CL15 and observing a bus speed between 99.9-100 MHz, updating to the default values should stabilize performance. The CPU-Z validation confirms the speed is around 100.76 MHz, which aligns with normal operation when XMP is off.

Your earlier Asus system ran at 3600MHz with a memory controller inferior to the current one. The main change, in my view, lies in the motherboard.
