I'm going to check this for myself but my mother of all people pointed this out to me-I hope like hell this isn't part of the Windows 7 agreement (and please let me know if this is a re-post): Source: http://www.thefederalistpapers.org/us/wi...nformation Now I strongly suggest that everyone who is dealing with Windows goes through the Eula with a fine toothed comb to see this if this is true-I know I will when I get my new motherboard and CPU in the next few days, re-install Windows 7, and decide to upgrade Windows 7 to Windows 10. If its true, then I've got the HDD space for Linux, and I'll have my GTX 650ti dedicated to it with Windows 7/10 being installed in the VM and having full use of my GTX 970 for games-which to me will be the only point of Windows from now on if this article is true.
Creating a fake version now. Let me know if you'd like it adjusted!
FYI. Many EULAs include this clause. I advise anyone worried about it to skip reading anything else, as your understanding might be off. From what I understand, if they suspect you’re doing something that needs them to "protect our customers or enforce the terms governing the use of the services," they’ll start investigating. This usually demands solid evidence beforehand, or it could lead to legal complications for them. In reality, most EULAs allow the company to handle software-related matters to safeguard their product and users. If privacy is a concern, Linux might be the way to go.
Linux has a lot of variations, which can be surprising in terms of choices.
I don't agree with that view. Linux is indeed open source, which means anyone can examine the code. While it's possible for malicious actors to find vulnerabilities, I believe privacy remains a valuable goal in today's world. Just let me know if you'd like to discuss further.
It's enjoyable to discover something you enjoy, but unfortunately, I'm employed by a firm that requires uniform software and file formats. Using Linux significantly reduces my efficiency at this stage of my life.
