Generally speaking, it makes sense to review the details. Yet today’s fine print is becoming so complex and filled with legal jargon that it’s simple to misinterpret anything you want. Yes, their privacy statement likely represents an improvement over previous versions. As for comparison, it’s hard to judge fairly since both companies have extensive data insights, but the tone and clarity of their statements differ.
