The Internet code uncovers details about
XDA developer.
Several mentions of the new Nvidia Shield TV hardware appear under the name "mdarcy". In the Google Play Developer console, it seems to indicate a fresh and slightly updated version of Nvidia Shield TV, still using the Tegra X1 chipset but running Android 9. This insight supports a leak reported in March where the XDA developer observed the code name for the new Nvidia Shield controller and remote. It is thought that this update only reflects minor changes to the 2017 model rather than a complete transition to Nvidia Shield 2. Some hints suggest the upcoming version may bring tweaks to the chipset, enhancing power efficiency and boosting GPU clock speeds, which could improve performance on older hardware. The inclusion of Android 9 is expected to enhance software settings and overall performance of the Nvidia Shield Experience app. At this stage, much remains speculation, and we should await official confirmation. We have enjoyed the Nvidia Shield TV technology before, and this update promises to be appreciated.
The Nvidia shield seemed fine, yet there was no compelling reason to purchase it.
It's great to hear! I'm glad the updated version also supports Android 9, just got one already... The touch-based volume control is really nice.
amazon and roku do not support iptv apps, which is really important to me and many people I know.
I bought it during an Xmas sale a few years ago and it's actually a really good piece of equipment. I mostly use it for watching movies and TV shows, but when I'm away from home for work or on holiday I also take it along. You can play Steam games there through the Steam streaming service, which works well as long as you have a decent internet connection.
I think I paid £150 for it and it was definitely worth it. My only complaint is that apps like Netflix don't support Dolby Atmos, but that's not a big issue. Haha!
