New Cpu
I've been searching for a new CPU and prefer staying with Intel since I really like it. Do you have any suggestions for a solid CPU from the 8th or 9th generation under £100? I was thinking about the i3 9100F because it would let me allocate around £30 to my motherboard budget. Of course, I understand AMD is better value, but I just want to avoid any AMD recommendations—I want to stick with my preferred brand. Please let me know!
You're feeling burned out from making poor choices. Intel's chips at this cost aren't worth it—opt for the pricier i5 9400F if you're serious about quality.
Intel's products currently offer little worth compared to AMD options, often underperforming in most scenarios. For your budget, Intel provides almost nothing truly impressive. The i3 9100F is a disappointing processor, while the Ryzen 5 1600AF delivers significantly better performance at a lower cost.
It's different. The same funds provide a six-core Zen+ 1600AF, matching the performance of an i5 8400 and above.
It's the same with brands—you figure out what you like, and once you find it, you stick with it. The extra cost helps cover my £150 budget for a good motherboard.
Top choice for your PC: AMD Ryzen 5 1600 (14nm) 3.2 GHz 6-core processor (£96.94 on Amazon UK).
Motherboard: ASRock B450M-HDV Micro ATX AM4 (£55.29 from CCL Computers).
Combined cost: £152.23.
