It's not true. The R5 1600 AF offers much better performance and durability for the price of $85. I’m not sure if you’ll locate that CPU at $85 in your area, but the R5 2600 is available for just over $100.

I would wait for the Intel 10th generation processors, which are anticipated to offer a notable performance improvement over 9th generation or previous models. However, currently Ryzen CPUs are ahead in delivering better performance for the price. I suggest choosing a Ryzen 3 3200G as a solid budget CPU right now, unless you specifically prefer an Intel branded chip, in which case I would strongly advise holding off until the 10th generation arrives. For more details on the Ryzen 3 3200G, see the link provided: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07STGHZK8?tag...th=1&psc=1

I also want to choose an Intel CPU because I don’t want to use the water cooler I bought two years ago. Thanks for your feedback!

You can easily find an AM4 bracket for 5 pounds and fit it onto your Ryzen CPU. With your 250 quid budget, a 2700X 8-core or 3600 6-core processor paired with a B450 Steel Legend would be the best choice.

Other components such as PSU, RAM, and other PC parts don’t rely solely on one brand; they can work with various manufacturers like Intel or AMD.

You can pair AMD with Nvidia, Intel with Nvidia, or even AMD with another AMD. What matters is the socket type connected to the CPU.

I was just asking because my total budget for this upgrade is around £200 to £250. That’s why the CPUs you suggested aren’t within my financial limits.
