Hi everyone, I've been working on my build for several months now and am running out of both time and money. Everything functions smoothly when I'm actively using Hyper-V, Firefox, and Microsoft Suite—typically 8 hours a day over the past four months. But once I launch a game, I usually see only about 20 minutes before it freezes, then a black screen appears while my monitor still displays and fans continue to spin.

My system specs include an MSI Mag X670E Tomahawk AMD 7950X3D, Gigabyte 7800XT 2x32GB Corsair Vengeance, Seagate Firecuda 530 GB, and a P850GM from Western Digital (still not blown). I switched the RAM to Corsair as it was previously installed on MSI's verified list, but the problem persists.

Could you please check if it's possible to run the game using just the iGPU without the 7800XT? I've already sent back the 7800XT for replacement, and the vendor confirmed no issues, though they noted a slight coil whine. They also sent a new GPU, but the issue remains.

I'm considering ordering a new power supply (Corsair RM1000e) to test, but AMD's Adrenaline suggests the combined wattage was under 500W during the freeze. The GPU hotspot stays below 65°C and CPU temps never exceed 60°C. No errors appear in Event Viewer, and benchmarks are normal. I've tried overclocking, changed BIOS, used PBO, adjusted RAM profiles, and even reseated components multiple times—nothing worked.

This situation feels like a sunk cost. Thanks for your help, Max.

Yes, DDU cleared it, used Adrenaline solely as a driver and also reinstalled Windows as the complete application.

Updated BIOS and chipset from MSI and MFLASH are installed; the PSU needs fixing, though the chances are not good.

My expectations are better, but the PSU could possibly resolve your problem.

I won't be excited about re-cabling everything, to be honest.

Perhaps but PSU didn't have any impact; in fact it seems to be causing more freezes now.

Shortly after a few attempts, I landed in Windows, perhaps five minutes into BF2042 when it froze again and went black. That was rough.
