Tested memory before using RAM updates; crashes remained consistent across both configurations and OCCT tests under heavy load.
Just reached out to the vendor once more; after discussing the OCCT crash, they appeared pleased to return the card and issue a refund. In the meantime, I’ll place an order for a fresh card (likely 9070xt) and will adjust afterward.
Deffo, the feature for adjusting variable load works well. Consistent loads seem too easy, steady ones lack sufficient stress. After some more digging, I saw 9070XT users reporting similar crashes. I checked it myself and noticed WER reports about driver instability that had been mentioned before—none were clear or logged in the system. I don’t want to pay for team green, but red is still uncertain territory and blue isn’t available yet, which is a bit disappointing.
OCCT latest known and trial setup for similar problems (only 7 minutes of 1-hour test done)
These units might still have defects or instability issues, especially for users who report problems. The 7000 and 9000 series shouldn’t experience freezing or crashes. Running for just about 20 minutes isn’t the expected performance of the GPU. If the OCCT test fails, the best option is an RMA because you don’t want a defective product.
In a Reddit discussion, someone suggested turning on all tuning options in Adrenaline without adjusting them. The update confirmed it functioned as intended. Displaying the setup for my GPU.
