I managed to connect the connectors without issues, even after swapping them because I had backups. The problem still persisted. I plan to test my backup 1080 at home to check if the issue is resolved. Anyone have any suggestions other than the GPU, such as whether the PSU might not be providing enough power?

It's definitely beneficial to replace the PSU before initiating returns for the pricier items; the GQ PSUs employ a more affordable design that often conflicts with the high-power 30 and 40 series Nvidia cards.
