Hi,
My new build doesn't show any video. It's an Asus B450M-All with the latest BIOS today, running an AMD Ryzen5-5600G and 32GB of memory (Navtek 32GB, 2x16, PC4-21300, non-ECC). It has a new 500W Thermaltake PSU. No SSD or drives are connected just to test if it works; it doesn't seem to. The monitor is working with the same cable that was fine before the old one failed. The LEDs on the MB light up and the fans start when I press the start button, but that's about it. I've checked all connections and reset everything. Ram placement matches the manual. I'm considering pulling the RAM if it might help later tonight. Thanks for your help.

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!
New 500W Thermaltake PSU.
Thermaltake is the brand of the PSU while 500W is the advertised wattage of the unit. What is the model of the unit?
Please list the specs to your build like so:
CPU:
CPU cooler:
Motherboard:
Ram:
SSD/HDD:
GPU:
PSU:
Chassis:
OS:
Monitor:
include the age of the PSU apart from it's make and model. BIOS version for your motherboard at this moment of time.
Try with one stick of ram populating slot A2 on the motherboard.
It is an Asus B450M-All with latest bios updated today
How did you update the BIOS on your motherboard? If you've verified that the BIOS was flashed successfully, then clear the CMOS. Do so by disconnecting from the wall and display, then remove the CMOS battery, press and hold down the power button for 30 seconds to drain any residual power. Replace the battery after 30mins.

CPU: Ryzen 5 5600G
CPU cooler: Included with the chip
Motherboard: Asus B450M-All with PB450MA-2, dated 12/14/2023
Ram: NVTEK 32GB (2x16GB) DDR4-2666
SSD: Samsung 1Tb not connected
GPU: Not installed, using Ryzen 5 5600G
PSU: ThermalTake Smart 500w New
Chassis: Asus AP201
OS: Windows 10, no drive connected yet
Monitor: Dell
Removed battery for 30 minutes and replaced it. Also took out a RAM board as requested, updated the BIOS, but still no video output at all.
Planning to switch to a different video connection once I have a borrowed DVI to DVI cable.

I've tested various solutions but still haven't found a resolution. The new DVI to DVI cable and monitor didn't show any signal from the computer. The start button activates the fans, but that's about it. Should I be worried about being unable to boot into BIOS due to a CPU problem? I tried powering on the motherboard with the CPU removed, but the issue persists. The voltage on the CPU power connector seems normal, though I can't test the 24-pin jack because the PS requires activation. The PS needs to be turned on, and I'm unsure how to proceed. Could anyone offer any advice? Thanks. Tom

The only thing I can think of that might be the issue is. After installing the CPU and fan, I had to take them out for another unrelated problem. When replacing the CPU, there was a tiny bit of thermal paste left on the socket. I tried using a small vacuum to remove it, but some might have ended up inside. Is there a method to clean the socket? Could I apply contact cleaner and gently dry it with air? Thanks for any advice.

Added a speaker and received one long and two short beeps, which ASUS identifies as an "Abnormally is detected in memory." Changed to one card, but no improvement. Could it be that I'm using the incorrect memory?

I don’t see any video at startup, fans are running, the board lights up, and I receive one long beep followed by two short ones—what Asus calls a “memory anomaly.”
I’ve changed the memory cards as suggested and nothing has changed. The sound is just one long and two short beeps.
I’m unsure about the boot sequence; does the memory chip trigger the first check? Even without any memory, will it display the BIOS screen?
Since I’m running a “G” Ryzen, I’m wondering if there might be an issue with the CPU or socket, but the boot still doesn’t proceed so no video appears.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I don't have a specific answer to that question. You should check the documentation or contact the manufacturer for the correct CPU information.

I've made some advancements. I ordered a new motherboard because the memory warning was causing issues. Now it functions properly enough to access the BIOS and view it. I was planning to use my existing 1TB SSD, but the new build isn't booting from it. I'm uncertain about the next steps. I have a 1TB SSD and a WD 1TB hard drive as backups, but neither is booting from either. Also, the amber lights are now flickering intermittently. I'm not sure what CPU was used for updating the BIOS. I used my laptop to flash it with a chip.

Without using RAM, the BIOS won't start and will display an image. You might need to reinstall Windows, but first verify that the existing files on your disk are set to the same mode—CSM or UEFI. If they were installed in CSM/Legacy mode, the system won't boot when your BIOS is in UEFI and the MBR.
