What are the detailed specifications of your current computer? A 6700 i7 isn't significantly better than a 4th generation i7 or xeon, which could be upgraded. What motherboard do you have, how much RAM are you equipped with, what power supply do you use, and would you mind sharing a photo of your setup? Sometimes a cardboard box is considered a luxury.

Question - New $200 pc, new to pcmasterrace, theme is dream build My name is phenom pumpkin, or just phenom, a tech influencer. I mainly focus on phones, but my i3 4th gen cpu is struggling to open Final Cut on a VM. That’s why I’m looking for a fresh setup. The theme is a dream PC from 2015 (I can’t afford anything else—here’s the list...). forums. In your original message, you mentioned: Have cardboard case but would suggest trying to upgrade it Sincerely, you’re probably wasting time thinking about building a case from scratch... or having someone make one for you. If you can’t buy a case, at least breadboard your components.

Visit the nearby supermarket and inquire with the staff about the timing for receiving free cardboard boxes. You'll also have to purchase glue and tapes from your own funds.

Don't try to build a cardboard case. It's probably going to catch fire. Check thrift stores; you're likely to find an old computer with a decent case for a low price. Or ask people around—someone will probably have an old, broken PC they want to get rid of and could use it. Just grab it and reuse the case. No cardboard needed.
