If an ATX board were viable, I’d strongly suggest the ASUS ROG Strix B550-F Gaming Wi-Fi. Anything beyond that would be overkill. The ASRock B550 Phantom Gaming 4/AC remains a solid alternative at a more affordable price. Either option should work well. Let me know if you need more details!

ATX is the standard choice, though I’m not sure what extra features would matter to someone new. If you’re mainly into gaming, built-in Wi-Fi could be helpful.

Mobo usually doesn't provide significant performance improvements. If your Wi-Fi problems stem from a built-in WiFi chip and you're considering an upgrade, it's better to stay with your existing board and get a PCI-E Wi-Fi card instead.
