I’m totally new to this stuff, so to be honest, I shouldn’t have thought about getting one at all.
What motherboard you're using and whether you have any extra PCIe slots. I'm in agreement with @Tech87 about opting for an add-in PCIe WiFi card rather than purchasing a full motherboard. The $25 price tag feels reasonable compared to buying a board. https://www.amazon.com/PCIE-WiFi-Card-Ne...B07NFMSGGR
You're likely choosing a new Wi-Fi card because you have an available PCIe slot, which saved you a lot of money.
For comparison, many B550 boards don’t fit the 2200g chip. The most affordable option with WiFi for that CPU is the B450 Ds3h, currently on sale for $80 at Newegg. That’s roughly a $60 discount, saving you the hassle of disassembling and replacing it. If you’re willing to invest in that savings, we can guide you through the process. Otherwise, the cheaper board is simpler.
