Given the issues with MSI's firmware, I wouldn't suggest their products. The B550 Strix comes with a high price tag but has some merits. For a more affordable option, the B550 Pro4 is an excellent choice.
They seem okay most of the time. The budget looks around b550. The B550 tomahawk works well, along with the mortar, Aorus Pro, and Strix F. For the X570, the X570-P, TUF, and tomahawk are also solid choices.
I purchased the MAG B550 Tomahawk myself. It features excellent VRMs and is built to last. I haven't assembled it yet, but I haven't encountered many bad stories about this brand. The Tomahawk has received positive reviews from Hardware Unboxed and other sources.

The strix is priced around 440 aud while the Gigabyte X570 Aorus Elite sits at 430 aud, which seems to be my budget limit. I was mainly considering the strix F, but it lacks a front USB-C port. It feels odd having a case with front USB-C but no motherboard. The price gap is noticeable... And paying more for the X570 just for front USB-C feels a bit excessive. Is it worth the extra cost? I’m also trying to decide between the high-end B550 and the mid-range X570.
