Present her with the invoice reflecting her service tier. Display the speed test results so she can compare them. Together, they should form a clear picture of the situation. Keep in mind, what are the exact details of her modem and router?

On the Spectrums site you learn about receiving a complimentary modem or router via their best deals page. If you haven’t received a new router, they suggest contacting them—they might offer it for free.

It's a free modem. Spectrum is the only ISP that provides just modems, no gateways included. I believe you need to "rent" a router or purchase your own. What other Spectrum users have said about this.

Let her know you’re covering the cost of a service you’re not fully utilizing. Present multiple speed tests conducted while directly linked to the device. Absolutely accurate—being a Spectrum user, I received a modem at no charge (which is great).

They delivered a modem, yet my mother is hesitant to connect it, believing it might interfere with the channels she relies on for bootlegging films.

She might be using an internet TV service for boot legging, but Spectrum is aware of the copyright violation. They can monitor all traffic on their network. Unless a VPN is in use, Spectrum probably won<|pad|> or this matter. If she fears consequences, the advice is to HALT THE ACTION. This reminded me of a particular scene.

She mentioned that the spectrum doesn<|pad|>, but she thinks she understands more about internet than I do. Even though I've been studying this for a while, she seems confident in her knowledge.

Check the model numbers for your modem and router. Ensure compatibility with the speeds you're subscribed to. Test both wired LAN and Wi-Fi download speeds if needed. Identify the source of slowdown before upgrading. Confirm your speed tests use 20 Mbps (megabits per second) for consistency.
