Before the Red Dead Redemption 2 PC release, I upgraded my existing components from a Ryzen 1600 to the Ryzen 3600, installed faster RAM and updated the BIOS. After a few months everything functioned perfectly. Recently, while watching YouTube, my computer shut down and restarted repeatedly, fans reached maximum speed but no screen appeared. I experimented with swapping GPUs, reseating parts, unplugging non-essential drives, clearing CMOS—nothing resolved the issue until I tried installing the older 1600 model, which worked fine. Now I’m considering replacing the new 3600 motherboard, though I’m unsure if it’s faulty or just a hardware quirk. I don’t have another board to test the CPU further. Sorry for the lengthy update, but I aimed to share as much detail as possible. Appreciate any assistance. I’m running a Ryzen 3600 with 16GB Corsair RGB Pro 3200 MSI B350 Tomahawk Arctic Gigabyte GTX 1070 EVGA 850BQ power supply.

Have you used hwinfo to track peak temperatures while playing? It’s hard to keep up with a stock cooler and reach 60°C during intense sessions. With a stock cooler, you usually see temps above 75°F even without overclocking. This suggests the issue might be overclocking or excessive heat generation.
