Hello, I just bought an MSI B550-A PRO ATX motherboard to upgrade from my previous ASRock B550M-HDV model. Everything seemed normal when it arrived, but I realized I needed to update the BIOS since my Ryzen 5600X isn’t compatible with the 5000 series label. After a week, the system began to fail. I searched online and in forums but didn’t find any solutions. After removing the battery, clearing the CMOS, and shorting the JBAT1 pins, I powered it on. The screen went black except for RGB lights and fans spinning. The GPU fan was active but I saw a “CPU ez debug” white light. Since I could boot with just one RAM stick (which others couldn’t), I downloaded an older BIOS version from MSI and flashed it. It worked perfectly—only with a single RAM stick. Now the CPU light is off, but the DRAM light stays on. Anyone have any advice on resolving this? Also, before I gave up, I adjusted some BIOS settings for DRAM frequency and MHz. I’m cautious about changing voltages or BIOS parameters. When I tried to boot, it wouldn’t work. So I fixed the CPU light disappearing, but now the DRAM light is illuminated. Could someone help me figure this out? Your support would mean a lot!
Consider another version of the BIOS or inspect the RAM slots for any physical damage

I needed to revise my entry since I updated again. The first time it was to the latest release, but now it’s the second time to an older build where the indicator shows DRAM instead of CPU.
The label says 5000 desktops are ready, yet it’s not functioning properly. I had to rely on my daughter’s PC to download the BIOS and flash it before the build succeeded. It powers on but won’t boot—I can’t access the motherboard menu or enter BIOS settings.
Have you experimented with the additional two slots using both sticks? Also, could you share the amount of RAM you currently have?
