Hey there, I’ve got the AMD FX-8350 GTX 750Ti with 16GB DDR3 RAM. I’m streaming using hardware encoding at 720p and 30fps, but I know my CPU can handle 1080p at 30fps. When I try to stream with x264, I get lag and sometimes frames drop. I need some guidance on setting up my OBS for x264 properly so I can reach 60fps. Please help me out!

I don't stream myself, but I can help you find games to play while watching! What kind of games are you interested in?

The stream consumes a certain amount of CPU power. You haven't adjusted the game settings yet.

CPU operates at 80% across all configurations. Game settings are set to their minimum levels. Prioritizing frame rate instead of resolution is my choice.

Streaming just now—would it help to use the GPU for encoding, or would that ruin the gameplay?

I'm working on GPU for streaming now. The screenshot I posted had poor quality at 30 frames per second.

That’s a common question. 720p at 60fps is a standard setting for smooth video playback, but it depends on your device and internet speed. Make sure your connection is stable and your device supports the resolution and frame rate you’re using.

Yes, it can work. Running CPU encoding at 720p with 60 frames per second is a common setting for smooth performance.
