GPU? What you're asking about, but with a price of $1500 AUD.

I plan to wait until later in the year for Ampere/Big Navi, as that’s what I’m doing to upgrade from my 1080 Ti. It’s hard to say for sure since prices aren’t confirmed yet. You’ve been holding onto the 1080 for a while, and it’s frustrating to think about buying now and seeing it drop in value within six months. With newer cards, ray tracing should perform much better.

Same setup here. I think sticking with a bit lower FPS while keeping the visuals sharp makes the most sense. Since I'm not a pro, I don't notice much difference in my kill potential when increasing to 20 FPS (and I already snipe a lot, so FPS isn't a big factor). I go for quality instead.

I enjoy playing at the highest quality whenever possible, as long as I can reach at least 60% performance. This is because even when 4K struggles, it usually drops quickly. For instance, I recently played at 1440p (or around 85% of 4K) and it performed well. Another game I tried was Jedi Fallen Order, which didn’t look as impressive, but the high frame rate caused issues on my OLED TV that doesn’t adjust refresh rates. In MW, I’ve generally had a smooth experience at full 4K resolution.

Great! It seems like you're aiming for the best performance, but it looks like there are some issues. The FPS isn't as high as expected on 1440p, but once you boost everything and hit around 80 FPS, it works well. Overall, you're pretty satisfied with the results!
