My setup is a custom Star Citizen rig.
i7 3770K paired with 16GB RAM and a GTX970 is the setup I’m using right now. It isn’t officially called a Star Citizen rig, just the machine I’m working with for the moment. I’m holding off until next year—likely at the end—to upgrade to a Kaby/Cannonlake/Zen and Pascal/Arctic Islands configuration. I’m really excited about the upcoming tech, so I’ve kept things in a solid but not top-tier condition until I’m ready to invest in a more advanced build.
Shown in my profile I achieve around 70fps in the hanger and 65 in AC with no one around, dropping to roughly 40-50 when many players or Vanduul are present. A brief summary if you don’t want to read my details: I’m an OC version of the i7 4670K running at 4.5Ghz with 16GB RAM on a Hyperx Fury Ram, paired with a Western Digital Blue 2TB HDD.
