I purchased a Cybatron PC around five years ago and have used it before without issues. I wanted to replace the HDD with an SSD, and since then it boots normally without any problems. However, when I try to overclock the CPU in BIOS, it fails to boot into Windows and keeps restarting repeatedly until it enters Windows Repair mode.

I purchased a Cybatron PC about five years ago and have already replaced the HDD with an SSD. It now boots normally without issues, but when I try to overclock the CPU in BIOS it fails to boot into Windows, restarting repeatedly until it enters Windows Repair mode. Could you assist me with this problem?

This processor and motherboard are quite rare, mainly found in OEM bundles such as Cybatron. It appears the 5150 chip is locked for multiplier use, so overclocking was limited to adjusting the front side bus clock. I’m not sure how AM1 boards handle this, but it might also affect PCIe and SATA speeds. If that’s the case, the newer drives likely don’t handle such stress as well as older ones did.

She's the odd one out, can push the speed up to 1680 MHz starting from 1600 MHz, but beyond that it won't function.

But are you doing that with a processor multiplier? or an FSB overclock?
If it's an FSB overclock then you're risking tragedy even for that ever so slight uplift.

I'm boosting the apu in the bios to enable overclocking.

Check out this article: AM1 Athlon 5350 Overclocking? I recently came across the latest AMD Athlon built around AM1 socket and was curious about its overclocking potential. forum. It seems you're likely using FSB overclocking, which is still handled in the BIOS. The newer drives aren't as forgiving with that setting compared to older models.
