They mentioned CSGO on a core 2 duo would face significant challenges. The 750 ti is suitable for modern games at 720p medium or 1080p low, though it may still be limited by the CPU.

I'm doing well while working with it in CS Go without using framesets.

You wouldn't invest more than $100 in a GPU if you're not planning to upgrade the main system later. A GT 1030 GDDR5 is better than a GT 1030 DDR4, but avoid the latter.

What are your exact financial limits? Could the system be offered for around 30 dollars? Adding 100 dollars would bring it to an Optiplex with a 2500 or 3770, and then including a 750ti would make it more appealing.

This is a good option if you are looking to spend $150 or so. Just put your current GPU in the new system and drop another $150 into a 1650 or something later and you will have something like 4x the performance on all fronts.

I tried fixing it so it would work with Minecraft. I planned to pass it on to my brother, but he has the PS4 all day and won’t let me play anymore. He doesn’t want that PC, so I’m deciding to sell it.

the system features: GT 610 with 2GB and 3GB RAM, dual-core E2220 processor running at 2.4GHz. I installed a high-speed SSD before, which improved performance. I also applied fresh thermal paste. However, I plan to upgrade the cooling solution to support smoother gameplay, especially for titles like CS GO. While the current frame rate is solid at 1080p, I aim for around 60 FPS with a more powerful GPU. I don’t want the PC to be given away to my brother who plays BT5 and BT1 all day.

I can upgrade the CPU before, but I hadn’t done so before. The shipping process could be risky. They might break it, but it should be fine. I’ll check out some CPUs that fit LGA775 sockets. I’ve noticed on a site that an E1200 CPU won’t cause bottlenecks with the GT 1030 (may be incorrect). Please see your thoughts (if the GT 1030 performs better I’ll consider it even if it doesn’t reach peak speeds).
