My laptop is beeping and won't turn on?
Hello everyone, my Acer Aspire ES1-512 laptop started shutting down all by itself and I tried every software fix online. I opened it up to get rid of the dust in the computer and on the fan because there was a lot of stuff inside. After cleaning everything out and putting the cables back together, the laptop won't turn on at all. I plugged it into an outlet but instead of lights coming on, I see an orange light blinking weirdly. It also blinks when I press the power button in a try to get it started. I took the battery out and put it back in, then something really bad happened. The motherboard started making a continuous buzzing sound. Sometimes there is that buzzing noise with an orange light flashing on the power light. When I try to start it up, there is a low ringing sound coming from the laptop but nothing actually powers on. Can anyone tell me what's wrong?
While you are cleaning your laptop, did you accidentally touch any ribbon cables? Did you forget to push them in when you unplugged them? Is the buzzing sound coming from the speakers, an inductor, or something else? Have you reconnected the battery? Does the user guide say what the orange light does? How old is this computer? If it has been more than three years, you might need a new battery. If nothing works here, take it to a repair shop or bring it back for testing while still under warranty.
