Hi, yesterday I overclocked my i5-4690 from BIOS with a clock speed of 4400GHz and core voltage set at 1220V. When I launched Windows, it took around 3 to 5 minutes to boot, and a blue screen of death appeared with a WHEA error. I’m really disappointed because I was planning to use it for 3D rendering and sculpting.

PC specs: Intel Core i5 4690K
Cores: 4
Threads: 4
Name: Intel Core i5 4690K
Code Name: Haswell
Package: Socket 1150 LGA
Tech: 22nm
Specs: Intel Core i5-4690K CPU @ 3.50GHz
Memory: DDR3, 12288 MBytes, Dual channels
DRAM Frequency: 666.5 MHz
Manufacturer: MSI
Model: B85-G43 GAMING (MS-7816) (Socket 0)
Version: 2.0

Also, I have a 5xHDD which seems to be faulty and might contain some corrupted files.

CPU temperatures for four cores are around 30-40°C during light tasks like browsing. I’m curious about the optimal overclock settings for my CPU and would appreciate your advice. Thanks in advance.

Hello, yesterday I checked my i5-4690 from BIOS and it says Intel Core i5 4690K.
Wait, is this a 4690 or 4690K? They're not the same.

What's your CPU cooler? It's a normal fan AVC, but I've had it modified by a friend. It's very noisy, but it works perfectly!

What's your CPU cooler? I had a normal Intel fan, but my friend said it's terrible and that the one he gave me from his old junk is better!

What's your CPU cooler? It's a normal fan AVC or something else? But I can mount it because a friend tweaked it and it's very noisy but perfect! Maybe that's why you're having issues. Don't overclock without a good cooler.

What's your CPU cooler ?
it a normal fan AVC or somthing but what i can montion that i have a friend who tweaked it and it verry Noisy also perfect!
That might be the reason of your problems. Never overclock without a decent cooler.
i understand but there is no other solution for this to oc btw i took a screen shoot of the cpu temps

It comes down to the quality of your silicon as well. Not every K series CPU performs well when overclocked.
