Hi my friend, he just started his old PC and wants to know if it can play Fortnite and other new games. Here are the specs: CPU is a Core i5 (3.20GHz), RAM is 8GB DDR3, HDD is 500GB, and the graphics card is an Intel HD 2500. What do you think?

You might consider including a GT(X) 1030, 1050, 1050 Ti or 1650 and it seems possible.

If you install a video card such as a GTX 1650 (though the PSU might not be sufficient) or an RX 570 (assuming it has a better PSU), that should work. However, at the moment the integrated GPU inside the i5 CPU will limit gaming performance. Replacing it with an SSD would also be a better choice.

I need to know your current frame rate to determine how it might change with these specifications.

30fps might be possible at low settings. A strong GPU like a GTX 1650 could likely boost performance to 60fps high/ultra, or 60fps medium in AAA titles.

It's not terrible, but it's missing a good graphics card.

It's missing a GPU, but you could even find one second hand like a 7950 or R9 280X for about 80 USD, which would give a solid gaming experience. Without a GPU, you'd only get 30-40 fps at low settings, but up to 50-60 fps at high settings. You'll still need a good PSU to run it.
