I enjoy playing Modern Warfare Warzone a lot, but I’m facing frequent FPS drops. Streaming didn’t help much, with a noticeable 40 FPS decrease that wasn’t enjoyable. My highest stable FPS is around 130, but it often varies and usually stays between 80 and 110. I keep my settings at the lowest level on MW, mostly leaving everything on low, and I’m using about 3428/5980 VRAM in Warzone.
I have a pre-built HP Omen 30L. I moved it into a new case and added AIO liquid cooling plus extra fans. Here are my PC details:
- nvdia
- GeForce RTX 2060
- Ryzen 7 3700X
- 16GB RAM
- 500W PS
You can find more specs for it here: HP Omen 30L
If you need further information, just let me know! I’m aiming to make my PC run smoothly.
Welcome to the forums, newcomer! Are there any BISO updates for your prebuilt's motherboard? Also, make sure you're using the latest Windows 10 version, preferably 21H1. Get the newest drivers from Nvidia's support site, remove your current GPU drivers with DDU, restart, and then reinstall them in an elevated command—right-click the installer and select Run as Administrator.
Thank you for the update! I've changed my Windows 10 to 21H1, removed and reinstalled the GPU drivers. Now I'm facing issues when trying to update the motherboard. I have the version and date from System Information, but I'm unsure what specific details I should be checking for during the update process. I'm really confused!
And I recommend checking Task Manager and Resource Monitor to assess system performance.
Identify which resources are consumed and how much each contributes, especially when FPS drops.
Restart your system and open Resource Monitor, then observe for a while. Adjust the window position if needed.
Perform light browsing, run a non-game app briefly, then play a game to monitor resource changes.
In summary, is that 500 watt PSU sufficient for your needs?
Model, make, wattage (500), age, condition? Heavy gaming use?
Are you sure the 16GB of RAM is one stick or two? Usually you can check in the task manager under the performance section, click memory, and it will display how many slots are used out of the total. It can sometimes be a bit confusing, but it should indicate at least 1 out of 2 or 2 out of 2, possibly around 4.
