Maybe it's the power supply unit (PSU). I think the two graphics cards need different amounts of electricity to work properly.

Yeah totally, I'm going to buy that test version just to check if it works. Even though it might be a graphics card or power supply, maybe upgrading the PSU would actually make sense in the end.

Are there any left on the warranty for the 4070 Super?

I do have insurance until April 2026. If everything checks out and the part breaks again, I could use that coverage to send it back for repairs or swaps. In the meantime, I'll be getting a new power supply ready while my GPU gets inspected.

That isn't such a bad idea if you've got some spare time.

Last thing I’ll add is that the more I think, the more I feel it could be power related, as stated this is my second gpu in a year as I bought a 6800xt that went faulty, now this ( both after about 8 months oddly ) I’ve also had ongoing usb issues for a year with them constantly disconnecting and such, so I’d been considering a psu change for a while, I think I might just pick up the RM850x as it has a sale where I’m located currently

I really like the Corsair RMx line. As usual, I don't know exactly how good your specific unit is because I can't test it directly for you. But I'm pretty sure they make great stuff at most price levels. I've never had a power supply from Corsair break or cause me any problems in using them.

Good to hear it, thanks for letting me know. I've had some Corsair stuff before and never had a problem so I thought using one was smart. Thanks for calming my worries that will stay in this thread once the PSU arrives and the card is fixed or swapped, thanks again everyone!

I think I might be cursed. I ran that 1050 in my PC like I said, and it showed up fine. But when I put it back into the family PC this morning, neither one works anymore. So now I have two PCs not showing up at all ( tried on different monitors/cables ). PC problems are a real headache lmao

Look at where the two pieces are joined to check for any cracks or breaks in the metal strips that hold them together.
