I faced a similar issue before where the system would turn on but become very unstable. I checked everything—ram, storage, GPU—and even tried a CPU reseat, which helped. I’d recommend giving that a try next time.
Sorry, my setup includes an i5 12400f with 16GB RAM, a 3200MHz single-channel RTX 2060. I need to know which SSD type is compatible with this motherboard. Some SSDs work better than others, and I’m looking for reliable options now so I can upgrade later. I also want to avoid cheap or low-quality drives. I plan to use a PCIe X1 adapter for the graphics card in the future.
Sorry to say i think you have to get a new one. if you want a good suggestion this is a good cheap one Discounted from 130 bucks: Amazon.com: ADATA 1TB SSD Legend 800, NVMe PCIe Gen4 x 4 M.2 2280 Internal Solid State Drive, Speed up to 3,500MB/s, Storage for PC and Laptops, High Endurance with 3D NAND : Electronics
They function properly in an M.2 port. For example, the Samsung 980 is a SATA M.2 device, so it still works.
I'm checking to confirm if it will function properly or get detected. The details about NVMe, M.2, and PCIe 3x4 are confusing for me.
