Mouse and keyboard randomly fail to recognize inputs - which component is responsible?
I own two devices—a PC and a laptop. The PC has been experiencing strange problems with my mouse and keyboard, where inputs sometimes fail to register or get stuck. This doesn’t happen with my laptop. I’m unsure which component is faulty and whether I should replace it, especially since I don’t have a spare to test. I suspect either the motherboard or the power supply unit might be the issue. Here are the specs of my PC: Ryzen 5 5600G, Palit RTX 3070 GamingPro, ASRock B450M Steel Legend, PNY XLR8 EPIC-X 3200Mhz DDR4 (32GB - 16x2), ADATA XPG Spectrix S40G (1TB), Fractal Design Ion+ 2 Platinum (660W). Please help clarify which part needs fixing. Both devices have the same problems on both wireless and wired connections.
I've reinstalled drivers more than 20 times so far, even doing a full Windows clean install, but the problem still continues.
Although blue tooth is really robust where is your desktop tower located.
Maybe you have a dead zone. Only reason maybe to check is it effects both mouse and keyboard.

Not aiming to be the typical person, but... have you considered swapping in fresh batteries?
I'm being straightforward. Once my Logitech mouse started behaving oddly while playing Destiny 2 (just that game), with random clicks and drops, I tried reinstalling drivers, adjusting the game settings, tweaking some BIOS options, and even replacing the power supply unit because I thought the ports were failing. Nothing fixed it. The mouse kept being an issue.
I changed the batteries and... everything functioned again. I know it's a minor fix, but it might help.
Both gadgets operate at 2.4 Ghz, yet the problem occurs regardless of whether they're connected wirelessly or via cable, which is why I continue using the wired setup.
Not relevant. All devices include a built-in battery, and I typically connected them via cables, so battery problems shouldn't arise. Various mice—both wired and wireless (2.4 Ghz and wired)—are experiencing the same problem exclusively on the PC, not the laptop.
List all additional devices connected to the host system.
Have you tested the keyboard and mouse on another functional machine?
Have you experimented with alternative keyboards and mice (wired or wireless) on your current computer?
Did you check Reliability History/Monitor and Event Viewer for any error messages, alerts, or relevant logs around the time of the failures?
Are there any unfamiliar or unexpected applications appearing in Task Manager or Task Scheduler at startup or later?
What is the age of the PC's power supply unit—original, replacement, refurbished, or used?
