I am installing a Thermalright ARO on a AM4 platform. According to manual, the 2 plastic brackets on the motherboard (installed by default) should removed. Then, 4 nylon tubes (that comes with cooler) should be installed. I also put the anchoring mount on the top of it : Anyway, there a 5 millimeter gap on each side that prevent me to start screwing the 2 x M3L7 screws. The CPU is making good contact with cooler, it cannot go lower than that. The height on each side is 8 mm : This seems to be correct and about the same as in this review (see the picture with a ruler) : https://tiny-reviews.com/reviews/2130-ov...sor-cooler There must be something wrong but I cannot figure what.

That's acceptable. As long as the cooler makes contact with the CPU, everything is fine.

They mentioned they can't fix it later. It seems the intended fasteners are too short for the task. I installed another HR-02 Macho Rev A on an Intel platform, and the plates stayed near each other before being joined.

The problem seems to be related to heat transfer. As long as the cooler maintains good contact with the CPU under sufficient pressure, everything should function properly.

I can't get past the other side to begin fixing it. That's not feasible. The screws are too short. After drilling into the cooler plate, only about 4mm remains. Not enough to continue.

The fasteners needed to secure the cooler aren't sufficient to reach the mounting bracket. Essentially, the tower can't be placed properly. This means CPU pressure becomes irrelevant since once upright, the cooler could detach, possibly damaging the glass panel or pulling the GPU out. The thermal paste lacks the strength to hold such a large tower securely by itself. That’s unacceptable.

The review indicates the spacers are metal, not nylon, and the bracket appears elevated. The manual you referenced also shows metal components. It’s possible additional hardware was included that wasn’t mentioned.

The images show a metal spacer paired with a nylon washer. Your version is black nylon, which differs from the one used.

The instructions suggest the metal spacers sit above and above the motherboard. The nylon tubes are broad enough to fully cover the smaller metal tubes on the back plate, allowing them to make contact with the motherboard.
