I looked at the site for my motherboard and noticed the newest version is from 2022. Please confirm, but I’m pretty sure I have the most recent one.
Confirmed, I performed a HWINFO log during Destiny 2 deployment, and the records showed no clear irregularities or unusual patterns.
I haven't run a memory test yet; I plan to do it this evening. Disabling XMP didn't resolve the issue.
Mrm checks are quite thorough. They’re performed more frequently than they actually detect anything but they remain necessary to eliminate possibilities. Similar to lupus tests, they often produce false negatives, so you usually need to repeat them several times. The Microsoft version is especially problematic and defaults to running twice. If you’re ignoring it, better increase the frequency. The most trusted option I found was memtest86. It might be improved now. Memtest86 was available as free software, which was a plus. Running another Aida 64 test on both GPU and CPU recently, using the latest BIOS from the Asus motherboard site, and the chipset has failed again.
I’ll look at the best option and leave it for later. If I have time, I’ll inspect the cables as well. I noticed them before but they looked fine. There might be spare parts with the CPU, so I could swap those in. I don’t yet have a spare DP cable (arriving tomorrow), so I’ll try replacing that too.
There was a change this year on the manufacturer's site for BIOS updates (ASUS), and the chipset was also refreshed there. Still experiencing crashes.
