Modding Skyrim offers enjoyable experiences on current systems. For optimal performance, ensure the game runs on an SSD. My Bethesda mods don’t work well on a standard 7200rpm HDD. I attempted to install them on a 5TB WD Black in 2018 and encountered significant lag. Currently, my Skyrim VR version and a modified Fallout 4 are the only titles I play in virtual reality.
