It means running a business comes with costs. You expect extra cheese on your burger, but you’ll pay for it. The reason a cable provider isn’t nearby is because they don’t see profit there. They need dense areas to connect many homes. While coax offers longer range than DSL, amplification isn’t enough to justify expansion when profits aren’t guaranteed. Sometimes relocating is more economical. The city just ahead has four ISPs now, making urban life much better.
Contact them until the issue is resolved. When paying for a service, they should be able to cover at least 90% of the advertised cost. If they don’t fix it within a few weeks despite calls, report it to the FCC. Next, you can use your own router or modem if you buy one that works with it. If they’re using a gateway (modem and router combined), ask them to switch it to bridge mode—it functions like a regular modem. Then connect your router to port #1 as usual.
I’m unable to stay in the city we went to with my cousins in New Jersey. The traffic and crowds are really overwhelming.
You're paying roughly sixty dollars for a hundred down and ten up, especially for Spectrum. I believe the highest speed you can achieve is around three hundred megabits per second going down and ten up.
