Using the switch? I've connected the modem to it, my PC, and the airport.

I disconnected the airport from the switch and then connected my PC back in, but it still doesn't function.

1. Which modem version are we discussing?
2. If it's a standalone device, it assigns one IP address to the first request and stops responding to others; additional devices require a reboot for a new assignment.
3. What rate of internet connection are you receiving?
4. Which airport model are you using, and what speeds do you observe during a connection?

it doesn't mention I searched for it all the time; i can't locate it on the modem—it came from our ISP, model 3.50 Mbps, though it's advertised as 60. It's the latest version (not sure right away). Using it connects to about 15 Mbps over wired and around 2 Mbps over 5GHz wireless.

I connect via the modem and airport port, then link my PC to the airport outlet.

Which CAT level Ethernet cable are you employing? It seems unusual, but it’s possible the issue is causing delays in your network.

It should be Cat 5, I can verify it, though I wasn't the one who initially configured the modem.

Connect the device to the airport's second Ethernet connection. Device->Airport->Switch.
