It's impressive how players manage to improve this game beyond the original developers. I really dislike what EA has done to the industry. RIP Westwoods, Maxis.

They informed us it was a visual effect created within the game, but it doesn't translate to an actual playable experience. The setting is extremely limited and lacks AI interaction. Swapping color schemes doesn't equate to better visuals—it's purely personal preference.

It wasn't a step back; the project was still evolving, they removed some elements and introduced others to find the optimal balance. That’s how developers usually work—adjusting and improving. I believe the finished product is much more polished, with better visuals and a smoother experience. I’d suggest modders focus on enhancing gameplay features, expanding existing ones, and adding details like weapons and hairstyles.

Before REDkit, things were tough. Now that it’s still pending, modders mainly rely on writing presets and crafting custom pixel shaders.
