I focused on pre-owned boards, as purchasing a new chipset older than 2-3 years usually isn't practical (except for the B450).
in vancouver, it's simpler to locate cpus at regular prices, though you can still get them for around $500 plus a few dollars. most premium boards are either unavailable or extremely overpriced. understanding the reasons doesn't alter the situation, but I'm just wondering why I asked this question.
