MMO/RPG games? Comparable to a POS laptop?
Essentially I'm here now at my grandma's place for the night (woo), so I didn't bring my main gaming machine with me. Instead, I'm using this really old family laptop—Intel Celeron Dual Core T3500 @ 2.1GHz, 3 GB RAM, and that big Intel 4-series display adapter. My question is, are there any good MMOs to keep me entertained tonight? I enjoy MMOs with some action and shooting, like Dead Frontier, but I also like games such as Torn City just to pass the time. I don't really want anime, magic, fantasy, or medieval settings. I'm hoping you can suggest some great options! Thanks a lot!
Your grandma's internet speed is quite limited. MMOs require huge file sizes, and even World of Warcraft needs about 50GB to function properly.
The comparison isn't clear from your question. Could you specify what you mean by "cheese grater" and "2 potatoes" in the context of Crossfire? That way I can provide an accurate answer.
Approximately 15% reduction in speed. Enhance graphics storage using appropriate cheese, and operate two graters simultaneously in KAW.
I cooked my potatoes too long and ended up with noticeably higher scores in Minesweeper, yet they burned hotter than a GTX480.
Well, that's the rate, but what about the download cap? Your grandmother probably has a limit under 50 GB if she isn't using it. Or maybe she opted for an all-access plan? For instance, my previous model reached 175 GB, while my current one goes up to 500 GB. Beyond that point, performance drops to just 1% of the original speed.
