Mixing RAM kits
Mixing RAM kits
Hello, mixing different RAM kits from the same brand isn't recommended. Each kit should be used separately to avoid compatibility issues. The differences in TRPD, TRP, and TRAS suggest they're designed for distinct configurations. Stick to one kit unless you're certain about the system requirements.
It's not advised, though it can be attempted. Your RAM speed will be restricted to the slowest stick, for example, even if higher quality sticks are available.
The most dangerous outcome might be damaging critical components, such as memory chips.
It's safe to test, though results may differ from the memory's potential. In extreme situations, your system could become unstable. To avoid issues, remove the low-capacity DIMMs.
