It seems you're expressing a belief while noting its appearance.
This suggests a perspective that aligns with what is visible.

Avoid checking the CPU stats by default. As soon as you do, performance will drop right away. Consider using an overlay or another tool to monitor CPU usage during gameplay. An example is MSi AfterBurner.

I've got MSI Afterburner boosted beyond specs, but the Task Manager shows no change. I plan to configure the usage monitor and share a screenshot.

Check if the screen shows the real refresh rate or only the supported maximum. Open advanced display settings and confirm the dropdown is set to 144.

I'm currently running Rust and when I take a screenshot it doesn't display the GeForce info, but the GPU reaches 50% of the CPU capacity, around 40%.

This helps clarify why your system stays under 50% CPU load. Based on Rust benchmarks and gameplay clips, it appears the program runs on Unity 5 and is limited to two CPU cores (likely two threads). It won’t lock at 100% even with dual-core processing because Windows can switch the process between cores. You’ll typically see around 20%–40% usage per core at once. Background apps and Windows itself also consume some CPU power. Regarding GPU usage, many users report over 90% during high settings on a Ryzen 5800X with an RTX 3070, even though your setup is lower resolution. The low CPU numbers suggest Rust isn’t designed to utilize more cores than available, which is typical for the game engine.

Apologies, I assumed it would be a playable file, but I realized you'd need to download it first.
