What do you think about the new Skype chat feature? It feels quite poor and hard to use. The text appears limited, and using emojis takes up half the screen. Overall, it’s not very practical.

Don’t often have video calls; I’ve never relied much on Skype. I mostly depend on Viber on my computer and my phone for conversations with friends.

They remain the same aggressive sellers they've always been. The consumer PC sector puts immense pressure on Microsoft, giving them almost complete freedom to act however they wish. It seems Mozilla sensed this trend, which might explain the recent Firefox video chat update.

I dislike it—it feels very casual and resembles a children's show. I prefer the classic Skype experience without those unnecessary social tools.

This experience only strengthened my belief in switching to Tox. I've disliked Skype after Microsoft acquired it, and the situation has only deteriorated due to more ads appearing. The only reason I keep using it is because a few users are too unwilling to leave.

I have the time to build a simple, minimal version with my friends. It includes a basic contact list, video calls via Skype, audio calls, and text chat. It feels like an old Windows XP app—very straightforward. I only use Skype since all the accounts were provided for me.
