Memtest errors
Memtest errors
Hey everyone, another RAM issue here... Let me explain a bit about my setup. I assembled my PC in January 2020 with these components: a Ryzen 7 2700X with the original cooler, an ASUS ROG STRIX RX580 with 8GB RAM, the ASUS ROG STRIX B450-F GAMING motherboard, and two 8GB 3200MHz Corsair Vengeance Pro RGB sticks. About a month ago, I noticed my system would freeze often during video editing. To fix it, I replaced the RAM with identical 2x8GB sticks and added them to the remaining slots (A1 and B1). Initially, my PC would loop and fail to boot, but after turning off DOCP, it would reach Windows. Even with the stock 2133MHz, I kept seeing crashes and BSODs at regular intervals. I ran Memtest86 with all four sticks installed, which revealed a significant number of errors. After swapping the sticks and rerunning Memtest, I still got errors. Eventually, I tested each slot individually and confirmed they all passed. I thought maybe the motherboard had a faulty slot, so I tried using all four sticks together again. The errors came back, which led me to suspect a hardware problem. I ended up putting all four sticks in and rerunning the test, but it still didn’t work. I’m trying to figure out if my testing method was off or if there’s a real issue with the RAM. Thanks for your help!
Update the bios configuration: set the SOC to 1.1, adjust the DRAM to 1.35, and try 2933.
I'll get back to you and check if anything changes. Appreciate the help!
Opened BIOS, adjusted AI Tweaker settings. Set memory frequency to DDR4-2933MHz, configured CPU SOC voltage to Manual at 1.1v, and modified DRAM voltage to 1.35V.
Check the bios and see if it improves. Try 2666 on June 10, 2020 by TofuHaroto
