I see your point, but the game is using only half of the 16GB and a quarter of the 32GB. That seems unusual to me, isn't it? It appears consistently larger across all the games in the video I watched. We don’t know what was running on the PC that could cause the memory jump and impact the FPS. I usually prefer reviews that display the exact PC setup, including RAM details and speeds. I’m not saying this video is incorrect, but I just lack sufficient information to reach a conclusion.

One possible explanation could be that the game scales it's use of memory based on how much memory is available overall. If more memory is available, it'll use more of it as a cache, which could improve performance a little bit as you have to reload data from disk less often. However there's quite a bit of variance in the frame rate and e.g. in Assassin's Creed you can see the 32 GB system sometimes dips below the frame rate of the 16 GB system. To reduce the variance caused by background programs running in parallel, I'd really like to see a result where each test is repeated multiple times and results are averaged to minimize the margin of error.

it works on certain games but not solely because it offers more features. It helps since everything else running in the background now has sufficient RAM, preventing slowdowns from lack of memory. I recently upgraded from 16GB to 32GB, and noticed Warezone used 13.5GB of my original storage—leaving only 2.5GB for Windows and other tasks. Virtual RAM is available, but it relies on a hard drive or SSD and isn’t as efficient as having extra physical RAM.

1x8 to 2x8 switches from one channel to two channels (significantly faster). 2x8 to 2x16 changes from single rank sticks to dual rank (slightly faster with reduced latency).
