Me Andromeda triggers the complete system failure...
I haven't encountered any problems with CUE or this game personally, though it might be unusual. So far, I've only seen two CTD errors during the 34 hours I've played, but I don't know what triggered them. I checked the event viewer and couldn't find any related events around the crash time, which leaves me puzzled.
I believe the issue lies with the game rather than the hardware. I've managed to play for about four hours without any problems. I landed on a new planet, but soon after the game crashed again, causing it to restart as before.
Couldn't locate my Corsair HX850, so I picked the top PSU available on materiel.net. Seasonic Prime Ti 750 received strong feedback—looks great and performs well. Despite multiple attempts, it keeps crashing, confirming the PSU is functioning properly. Interestingly, when I checked another PC, the Corsair PSU was still present inside... possibly explaining its absence in my original setup. A positive note is that my system runs even more powerful than expected—maybe upgrading to a 1080Ti would be wise.
You're facing the same problem with your overclocked 980ti. Even when running the game without the overclock, it still crashes. Your Corsair AX1200 PSU has been stable in other games, so the issue seems specific to this setup. Since you're not finding a fix and the experience isn't satisfying, it might be best to give up and move on.
Well, there is one thing that is running in addition to the game that you'd otherwise not have on. The Origin DRM is also chugging away whenever you play ME:A. Just another thing to consider while ya diagnose the issue.
