I haven't encountered any problems at all—it's actually different for me. Using the newest version feels slow and causes frequent crashes.

I've relied mainly on Chrome for a few years now, and I haven't experienced any significant problems with it on Windows 8 or 8.1. Adjusting all the settings is straightforward, and the only minor issue I've faced is that the saved bookmarks drop-down appears slightly off to the left. I've adapted to that over time.

The issue occurs whenever I close Chrome and then reopen it, displaying an error about improper shutdown.

Running Windows 7 after a hard drive failure from Windows 8 is possible. Using Chrome is great since it keeps your tabs and documents synced across devices and accounts. It’s really convenient!

Not likely, I also use several, but I'm working with four monitors.

Previously relied on Chrome, now prefer Opera. Keeps using Chrome for watching Frozen since Opera doesn’t function properly

The latest update works fine. For any problems with Chrome (or Firefox or other browsers), consider setting up a secondary profile—either through your operating system or by clearing the browser profile so it generates a new one. Most issues stem from extensions, damaged database files, and similar files stored in your profile. https://support.google.com/chrome/answer/142059?hl=en

Used it for three to four years without any problems. Offers better features than FF, syncs perfectly with my phone, has a more pleasant interface, and now includes Google Now—super impressive. Runs smoothly on Windows 8.1.

I really enjoy how I haven’t posted a YouTube comment anymore since Google+ is taking over... Now I just leave my thoughts here, okay?
