I haven't got a desktop yet, but a laptop is way better for me now because it's portable and I can take it to class. Occasionally I think about buying a cheap laptop and spending the rest on a desktop, but the extra bragging rights my Y50 gives me in public more than make up for it. Also, I dislike the cheap feel of those laptops and need something with good specs since I'm a heavy browser user.

Not both because the options are mutually exclusive.

I work on a desktop since I own one. Even if I could buy a laptop, I wouldn’t change—it would still be better to upgrade my desktop hardware.

I believe I’ve spotted a laptop paired with a mechanical keyboard. I can’t remember the exact video or source where I saw it.

I don't really care about portable gaming much, which means I'm definitely on the desktop side.

Most laptops I've owned have been connected to a screen about 75% of the time, making a desktop more suitable for me and a budget laptop for basic tasks like browsing and typing.

I strongly favor desktops. Laptops provide more flexibility, though they tend to cost more. Often they come with poor keyboards, limited screen sizes, shorter durability, and are generally large and bulky.

Focuses on a desktop setup since I don’t require heavy graphics on the move. It seems the choice depends on wanting laptop portability without sacrificing gaming performance.

They both have their place. Playing games at home means I use my PC, while gaming outside on the porch during a hot summer day is just as enjoyable. It’s hard to beat either option.
