Manjaro is functioning properly during the day, yet it displays error messages when you attempt to boot at night. Consider checking your system settings or power configuration.

I don’t have access to your previous actions or settings. Please check your terminal configuration or recent commands to see what led to this issue. Yes, you can switch to another tty using Ctrl+Alt+F2/F3/F4.

I believe the computer shut down while updating packages. Pressing ctrl + alt + f2 gives me a command prompt. Can I reinstall the OS without losing my files? I'm using the KDE version of Manjaro. Thanks for your quick reply!

You may need to access the login screen when changing tty settings. If only a blinking cursor appears, booting a live USB and chrooting in would be necessary. Alternatively, you could copy your home folder onto the live USB, reinstall it, and then transfer it again—though this seems like a simpler solution than dealing with the issue directly.

Certainly! Here are the outputs for each command:

- `systemctl status NetworkManager`: Shows the current status of the NetworkManager service.
- `systemctl status polkit`: Displays the status of the polkit service.
- `systemctl status sddm`: Indicates whether the SDLM (System Display Manager) is running.

Your issue appears to be that SDLM isn't starting, which aligns with the output from the last command.

Check the status of sddm first. It's the most critical. Also suggest attempting a pamac upgrade.
