500K bps isn't equal to kilobytes per second. 500 kilobits equals 62.5KB per second. Keep in mind bandwidth doesn't mean latency. No matter your internet speed, poor routing will cause issues. You might want to use a VPN to fix routing and join the same server as friends, or look for a closer server with better connection quality from your ISP.

The internet managed to stabilize, maintaining its usual behavior but with a 28ms delay to the server at the 128tick frequency. The reason for the change isn't clear to me.

The wonder of navigation. I enjoy seeing paths shift unexpectedly... I wish I could explore more of the world.

That’s the issue with the abbreviations. You shouldn’t use Kb for Kilobyte—write kB instead, and kb for Kilobit—use kb. These symbols can confuse when measuring internet speeds because bytes are eight times larger. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Data_rate_...per_second
