It looks like a great idea. The main challenge would be the charging port on the Mac Nano’s bottom.

I understand. Usually you start with an iPad Pro, take out the screen and battery, expand it, attach a keyboard, and raise the touch bar height.

It’s an excellent demonstration idea. However, the target audience already uses the iPad as their device.

Choose between an iPad or a MacBook (Air/Pro). It’s essentially a laptop without a display, speakers, or a large battery.

It might find an audience, but for a dedicated hardcore minimalism desk, a docked configuration usually works better. Using your laptop as a secondary desktop could clash with the core philosophy. A single streamlined setup tends to be more in line with minimalist principles.

I notice the attraction to some degree, but you still require a cable to link the keyboard with the monitor. You might also consider running a cable to a Mac Mini concealed beneath the desk.

This idea is purely theoretical, yet many believe Apple should develop such a product. The Touch Bar revival, battery inclusion, and keyboard integration seem unusual compared to a Mac mini. Putting the computer inside the keyboard means a cable is always needed for a screen, which weakens the case for an internal power source, and it limits how you place the device on your desk. While the design appears appealing and the video quality is good, it doesn’t really resonate with me. The creator suggests using AirPlay to link this type of device to a display, but even for Apple this would seem out of place.

The main benefit this offers over a Macbook would be its potential for lower pricing, since it doesn’t include features like a screen, touchpad, or speakers that laptops do. We’re all aware of Apple’s focus on competing on cost—its slogan is essentially “race to zero in style.” I’m confident a $200 Macbook Nano will be on the market next year. /s This applies to devices such as the Raspberry Pi, which is also aiming for affordability. Apple seems resistant to offering affordable options.

They likely offered affordable options to introduce users into the ecosystem similar to the iPod shuffle. Utilizing older chips for a Single Board Computer would allow hardware and software creators to use existing resources or build an inexpensive Mac Mini. This approach could attract many new customers, especially those interested in developing both software and future hardware solutions.

Apple once offered budget-friendly items, though that era has passed more than ten years. Their most recent update to the shuffle tool came in 2010. If they wished, they could have created many more cost-effective options to draw users into their system, but they abandoned this approach. This reflects an outdated Apple mindset. The current direction focuses on delivering a high-end experience.
