You're experiencing performance drops in Fallout 4 on your AMD FX-6300 with an R9 380 graphics card. The game runs smoothly at around 50 FPS in the main areas, but slows significantly when you look through the vault or off the floor, dropping to about 20–30 FPS. Trying quality adjustments didn't help much, and switching settings only improved distant visibility slightly. You mentioned driver updates and quality tweaks—have you checked for any recent system updates or considered reinstalling the game?
It seems like you're pretty sure the problem lies with the driver or settings.
Maybe. As suggested by someone above, you can turn off the AA or adjust it in Radeon Settings or Catalyst Control Center.
I disabled the AA, adjusted the priority to high in Task Manager, and the CPU usage rose to around 70%. It wouldn’t be surprising if it became a bottleneck, since I usually thought it would hit the CPU limit but not quite reach it.
