I received a 3080 stock, an i7 7820x running at 4.7ghz stable OC with 3600mhz DDR4 RAM. Despite this, I’m finding it hard to hit even 200-220 FPS in Valorant, especially during intense fights. It seems the game is consistently underperforming, which is unusual since my previous setup with a 1080TI gave better results. CSGO usually lands around 400+ at about 380 on the benchmark map, but no tests were done with the 1080TI. I’m unsure why my games are not reaching their potential given the hardware. Could there be something missing? My RAM should be configured for dual-channel as well. I’d appreciate any help or tests you can run to identify software or hardware issues.

Valorant feels odd to play. It handles high frame rates over 200 FPS, but it can stutter a lot during setup and still run okay in the actual match. If your performance exceeds the display refresh rate with minimal drops, you should be all set.

The single core is positioned lower, but delivering about half the performance of a system with a 3080 and a 5800x AMD processor in certain tests. I find suggesting "similarly" questionable; I think 10-25% might be more accurate in my view, or slightly higher could be reasonable.

It would also be wise to try running the 32GB 3600mhz at 3000mhz as well. According to userbenchmark, my RAM is showing some problems—performing below its potential (16th percentile). Make sure a dual-channel XMP BIOS profile is active; I'm not sure if I'm doing anything incorrect, though I've enabled XMP and set it to 3600. Are there any special settings for dual-channel XMP that I'm missing? What's happening here?

It looks like the 3000MHz settings are 15-17-17-35 and the 3600 are 16-19-19-39. Testing this could be feasible, though. If it’s the problem, having identical RAM would work. Otherwise, skipping quad channels now might save resources.

Based on expectations, adding four channels can help reduce the delay because the memory controller will interlace better and the wider bus width compensates for the lower frequency in bandwidth. It's worth testing to confirm.
